The School Day of Non-violence and Peace

On 30th January is The School Day of Non-violence and Peace, and we have been working on the life on Nelson Mandela (Nobel Peace Prize in 1993). As well as learning things about his life and discussing some of his most famous quotations, this week we are going to watch the videoclip "Ordinary Love", which is a song by rock band U2. It was written to honour Nelson Mandela and is included in the biography film Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.

THE PEN PAL PROJECT

We have friends in England!

Students from The Earls High School in West Midlands (England) and our Year 1 and Year 2 students are involved in a project which allows them to get to know each other by sending handwritten letters.
We have just sent our first letters and our students are looking forward to receiving their first letter from their English friends.
